Subzero Cryotherapy & Recovery Grand Opening in Phillipsburg NJ

Sub Zero Cryotherapy & Recovery opened its doors in January 2023 in Phillipsburg, NJ. Like many businesses, SZCR emerged from frustration with the limited selection and quality of local establishments.

Anthony Gabriel, the owner, has always led a bustling life—balancing work and family commitments while cherishing his free time. However, when he sustained injuries in a car accident in 2017 requiring surgery, he sought a top-notch facility for recovery and rejuvenation. To his dismay, the best option was a 30-mile drive away, and it didn’t even offer all the services he desired.

Thus, in 2023, Sub-Zero Cryotherapy & Recovery was born—a comprehensive cryotherapy, recovery, and wellness center dedicated to meeting the needs of athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals in the Lehigh Valley and NW NJ area. Whether it’s speeding up recovery, managing chronic pain, reducing inflammation, losing weight, enhancing physical appearance, or improving overall wellness, SZCR aims to cater to diverse needs.

The past 3 years have been immensely fulfilling (and busy) for Anthony. He delights in connecting with customers, assisting them in achieving their aspirations. Establishing partnerships with various industry entities such as sports clubs, martial arts instructors, gyms, fitness clubs, and massage companies has enriched his journey. Conversations with customers revealed a shared struggle in finding a local, quality, all-encompassing facility—now, their search has come to an end.

Hi, I’m Olivia Kissinger, the General Manager at SubZero Cryotherapy & Recovery in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. I’ve proudly been part of the SubZero team for over 3½ years, and I truly love helping people feel their best!

One of the biggest reasons I’m so passionate about recovery and wellness is because I’ve seen firsthand how much chronic pain and limited mobility can affect someone’s daily life. Watching my dad navigate various medical conditions has given me a deeper appreciation for helping others find relief. Being able to play even a small role in someone’s recovery journey is incredibly rewarding.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of SubZero, I manage our social media and love sharing content about the benefits of recovery and wellness. I’m always eager to continue learning, growing, and discovering new ways to better serve our community.

I am certified through CryoBuilt and hold certifications in Whole Body Cryotherapy, EMTT (Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy), and Body Sculpting. These certifications allow me to confidently educate our clients and help guide them through their recovery and wellness experience with personalized care.
